On Wednesday after practice, Fernando from parks & rec asked if any parents could coach. After a minute of no hands going up, I said I could help. Within 20 minutes, I was designated “the coach.”
I’ve never coached kids this age in baseball, so I’ve got a lot of planning and learning to do. I’ve coached 8th grade baseball, and 5-6th grade baseball—that was easy. You just tell those kids to run until they get tagged out.
I’m going to write about my process, and my crazy ideas about coaching and teaching here. I want to leave a record.
